This regular fit ribbed fisherman jumper is crafted from 100% Merino wool. Inspired by the traditional garb of fishermen, it's ideal for the colder months as the ribbed cuff and hem, and tubular ribbed neck, make for a cosy and snug fit. It's the classic fisherman's sweater, cut for everyday wear rather than the deck.

Fishermen's jumpers were knitted in tight rib for a working reason: the rib traps air and holds warmth even when the sea has soaked it. Around the British coasts the same jumper answers to gansey or guernsey; the name travelled with the fishing fleets. The Fisherman Jumper keeps that construction, a ribbed body with a tubular ribbed neck, cuffs and hem, knitted in England from 100% merino wool.

It is fully fashioned, meaning each panel is knitted to shape and properly finished rather than cut, which is where a knit's durability lives. The regular fit sits neatly under a peacoat or duffle coat. Six colours, from Navy and Ecru to Petrol and Lime, in sizes XS to XXL. Hand wash inside out and dry flat.
