All Outerwear & Clothing
Gloverall has made outerwear in Britain since 1951 — when Harold and Freda Morris began selling surplus military duffle coats and, finding demand outstripped supply, started making their own. What began in a Holborn warehouse is now a full collection of coats, jackets, knitwear and accessories, each one built with the same conviction: that outerwear should be bought once, worn for decades, and passed on rather than thrown away. This page brings together everything Gloverall makes.
Duffle Coats
The duffle coat is where Gloverall began and where the brand still finds its clearest expression. The men's and women's duffle coat collections span a range of silhouettes — from the unstructured Original Monty to the tailored Freda and the contemporary Slim Fit — all made from British wool and fastened with the wooden toggles and jute rope that have defined the coat since its military origins. The duffle coat (also spelled duffel coat) remains Gloverall's defining garment, and no other British brand makes it in as many variants, colourways or sizes.
Peacoats & Overcoats
Beyond the duffle, Gloverall makes peacoats and overcoats for men and women that apply the same quality of material and construction to cleaner, more tailored silhouettes. The women's Hepburn Overcoat is the collection's most refined piece; the men's peacoats sit closer to the brand's naval heritage. Both categories sit alongside the duffle coat as considered, long-term purchases.
Jackets & Knitwear
The men's and women's jacket collections extend Gloverall's outerwear into lighter-weight, more versatile territory — anoraks, parkas, cropped trenches and liner jackets that work across seasons. The knitwear collection is built around the Submariner Jumper, a 100% merino wool jumper knitted in England that works as a midlayer under any Gloverall coat or as a standalone piece in its own right.
Accessories
Gloverall's accessories — lambswool scarves, hats and bags — are made to the same standard as the outerwear and are designed to complement it. The Care & Repair section sells replacement toggles, jute rope and buttons for those who want to maintain or extend the life of a coat they already own. The Renewed collection takes Gloverall's deadstock fabrics and surplus materials and works with independent British makers to turn them into limited-edition pieces — a practical expression of the brand's commitment to longevity over disposal.
