The knitwear and tops collection brings together pieces that work equally well on their own and underneath Gloverall's coats. The Women's Submariner Jumper in 100% merino wool sits at the core of the range, alongside the unisex Aran and Fisherman styles, the 'G' cotton sweatshirts and hoodies, and the limited 75th Anniversary Ivy Boys capsule. Each piece is sized and cut to work with how women's outerwear actually fits — relaxed through the body, easy through the sleeve.
Gloverall's knitwear grew out of the same British maritime and working tradition that shaped the duffle coat. The jumpers in this collection — the Submariner, the Aran, the Fisherman — were all originally working garments, knitted for warmth in conditions where warmth genuinely mattered. The women's range doesn't reinterpret those origins or soften them into something more decorative. It brings the same construction, the same wool, and the same weight to pieces that are sized and proportioned for women's outerwear. The cotton sweatshirts and the Ivy Boys anniversary pieces work by the same logic: straightforward construction in good fabric, made to layer well and wear in over time.
The Women's Submariner Jumper
The Women's Submariner Jumper is the collection's centrepiece and the only piece in the range cut to a women's-specific fit. Made from 100% chunky merino wool and knitted in England using a seamless 3D construction, it has a relaxed silhouette with a single ribbed crew neck, ribbed cuffs and hem. The fit is generous enough to layer comfortably under a Freda Duffle or Hepburn Overcoat without adding bulk at the sleeve, and worn alone it sits cleanly below the hip. Available in Navy, Ecru and Mushroom — three colourways that sit naturally within the Gloverall outerwear palette — in sizes XS to XXL.
The 'G' Embroidered Sweatshirt
The Unisex 'G' Embroidered Sweatshirt is the quieter piece in the cotton range — a clean, everyday layer in premium loopback cotton with a V-gusset neckline referencing vintage British sportswear. The raglan sleeve construction gives it an easy drape through the shoulders, and the ribbed cuffs and hem hold the shape over time. For women who wear Gloverall coats, it's the most natural underlayer for transitional weather — light enough not to add unwanted bulk, and clean enough in design to work under any women's jacket in the range. The 'G' Print Hoodie
The Unisex 'G' Print Hoodie is cut oversized — more so than the Sweatshirt — with a kangaroo pocket and a printed 'G' logo drawing on naval workwear and collegiate styling. The oversized fit works well layered under a Marilla Dufflewool Liner Jacket or as a standalone piece on milder days when a full coat isn't needed. Available in Navy, Black, Green and Orange. The 75th Anniversary Ivy Boys Capsule
2026 is Gloverall's 75th year. To mark the occasion, Gloverall has worked with Aaron Chang — the artist behind Ivy Boys — on a limited-run capsule of graphic jersey pieces. The unisex pieces in the capsule are the Ivy Boys Anniversary Graphic Sweatshirt (Grey, Navy), the Ivy Boys Anniversary Graphic Hoodie (Grey, Green, Navy), and the Graphic T-Shirt in Grey — each made from premium loopback cotton with raglan sleeve construction. The oversized fit of the hoodie layers naturally under a Liner Jacket or worn open over the Submariner. These are limited-run pieces and won't be restocked. How the Collection Works Together
The women's knitwear range is designed to function within a layering system. The Women's Submariner underneath a Freda Duffle or Hepburn Overcoat gives genuine warmth without adding bulk at the shoulder — the seamless construction keeps the coat's silhouette clean. For milder conditions, the 'G' Sweatshirt or the Fisherman Jumper provide the right weight without the full thermal commitment of the Submariner. The Aran, worn alone, carries enough visual presence in its cable texture to work as a standalone piece.
