How to measure

Shoulder:

Measure between the two shoulder seams, straight across the back

Chest:

Measure across the chest from underarm to underarm and double the measurement

Waist:

Measure the width of the garment, 20cm down from the chest and double the measurement

Sleeve:

Measure the length from the top of the sleeve, where it meets the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the cuff

Length:

Measure the centre back of the garment, from the bottom of the collar straight down to the hem

Handmade in collaboration with The Long Shot Exp, our Renewed Hulme Cap is a fresh take on a classic. Crafted from Gloverall’s deadstock soft corduroy in their Manchester workshop, it blends timeless design with a modern sensibility.
The original inspiration? A Richard Davis photograph of Anderson Hinds—better known as ‘Dangerous Hinds’ of the Ruthless Rap Assassins—sporting a Nike cap with an unusual front panel and what seems like a seven-panel construction. A defining image of Manchester’s underground music scene, it felt only right to honour that legacy with the Hulme Cap.

Named after Hulme—a place steeped in Mancunian counterculture and creativity—the cap is a nod to the area’s rich musical heritage. From the sharp lyricism of the Ruthless Rap Assassins to the contemporary sounds of Children of Zeus, Hulme has long been a driving force in the city’s sonic landscape. The cap embodies that same independent, forward-thinking spirit.

It’s also part of our Gloverall Renewed initiative. With Gloverall Renewed, we're turning these materials into opportunities. Partnering with independent UK makers, we provide surplus wool and trims along with our technical expertise to create exclusive, limited-edition collections. Each piece carries the legacy of our signature materials while showcasing the innovation of contemporary craftsmanship.
