Gloverall's women's collection was not built by scaling down the men's range. It was built separately, around the silhouettes and proportions that women actually reach for — a distinction that matters when the brand's core garment, the duffle coat, has been worn as much by women as by men since the 1950s. The women's range spans full-length duffle coats and tailored overcoats through to lighter jackets and knitwear, each made with the same British wool and careful construction that defines the brand. Freda Morris, who co-founded Gloverall with her husband Harold in 1951, has her name on one of the most enduring coats in the collection. That's the tradition this range sits in.
Women's Duffle Coats
The women's duffle coat collection is the largest and most considered part of the women's range. It includes the Women's Original Monty — the unstructured, oversized version closest to the coat's military roots — the Freda (named for Gloverall's co-founder), the Slim Fit Freda in short and long lengths, and the Swing Duffle Coat with its A-line silhouette. Each represents a different relationship between fit, warmth and occasion. Available in over fifteen colourways and sizes 6 to 22.
Women's Overcoats & Peacoats
The women's overcoat collection centres on the Hepburn Overcoat — named for Audrey Hepburn and designed with the same balance of structure and ease that defined her style. It's a longer, more tailored garment than the duffle coat, and the right choice for those who want Gloverall's quality of construction in a cleaner, smarter silhouette. The women's peacoat range sits between the two — double-breasted and naval in origin, refined in execution.
Women's Jackets & Knitwear
The women's jackets collection spans three distinct pieces for the current season: the Marilla Dufflewool Liner Jacket in boiled Dufflewool fabric with toggle closure, the Shelley Duffle Jacket in textured check wool with horn toggles and a tartan-lined hood, and the Bacall Cropped Trench in cotton for spring and summer. The women's knitwear is built around the Submariner Jumper — 100% merino wool, knitted in England — which works as a standalone piece and as the natural underlayer for any coat in the collection.
