NICOMEDE has collaborated with Gloverall for A/W19 to release a capsule collection of men’s outerwear. Nicomede Talavera ‘re-imagines’ classic menswear pieces such as the duffle coat. The British made collection is inspired by a range of contrasting reference points to create truly unique pieces.
The NICOMEDE.GLOVERALL coats have evolved from the iconic Monty Duffle and feature contemporary custom hardware in the form of silver mirrored toggles and have a dolman sleeve. 1950s womenswear couture has been a key inspiration for the pockets, panelling and acute focus on details and finish. The graphic nature, colour-blocking and mixed materiality of the capsule collection gives a nod to 1960s futurism. These are references that are the backbone of the NICOMEDE. aesthetic and identity.
