22nd June 2005 - Official Launch of Gloverall’s Spring Summer 2006 Collection

Venue: Pitti Uomo International Menswear Show Florence Italy – drawing Buyers from all over the World.

Exploring the strengths from Autumn Winter, the new S/S 06 Range consists of iconic pieces - the Duffle, the Trench, the Field Jacket, the Parka and the Pea Jacket.

The season highlights the strong fabric direction of cotton and linen in naturals….ecrus, sands, off whites and pale greys. Contemporary styling is enhanced with precision workmanship with the latest in technical detail and directional garment washing.

Gloverall is often asked to supply coats for Film and Theatre. Here are just a couple of Films due out this Summer which Gloverall will be “dressing”

The Duffle Coat is featured in Episode Four.
This Series gives “long overdue recognition to a host of unsung British designs”, from the Kenwood Chef, the Polyprop Chair , the Cordless Kettle to the Duffle Coat. The Duffle Coat is described in Episode Four as “the coat with military connections that went on to define generations of peace – marchers, students, computer geeks and rock stars”.
